It all started when Sana Kurata got involved in Akito Hayama's family life. She wanted him to stop causing problems, and that led her into helping Hayama's family. Naturally after that….Hayama began to like her because of her kind heart. He would do anything to have her, and even tried to get rid of his 2 rivals Tsuyoshi Okhi and Rei Sagami. He was success full. The problem was…would Sana like him?

After going on a school camp trip for 3 days...they became close and Hayama told her that if she ever needed to cry to come to him. The time came when her mother publisher a famous book "My Daughter and I" and things got complicated so Hayama rescued her from the house and brought her to his place, where she cried on his shoulder.

Even though Sana acts quite crazy...Akito doesn't mind but always has a tendency to make fun of her, and cope a feel here and there. ^_^; (That results in a whack on the head by her hammer.) In the manga, there is more love between them but I'm not sure it's that way in the anime...at least the way the anime ends it doesn't seem like it.

I have nothing against Fuka, I think she's pretty cool…though it irritates me how they waste like 20 episodes having her and Akito going out >_<. In the manga they didn't really do much other than go out with Aya and Tsuyoshi on double dates a few times...in the anime though I think their relationship was stronger.

The reason Hayama dates Fuka is because he hears a rumor that she's dating Naozumi, so Fuka feels bad and asks him to be her b/f and he just says "whatever" and agrees. Sana calls Hayama but then he tells her "Kurata..I'm dating Fuka." Sana becomes very depressed, and even though Naozumi tries to comfort her..in the anime she says "I'm sorry Naozumi-kun." because she thinks of Hayama hugging her. (Episode 60)

In the manga, the whole time he is with Fuka, Hayama still has feelings for Sana...and if you really think about it Hayama really could care less if he's cheating on Fuka…^_^; Naozumi still loves Sana and admits to her his feelings, in the manga when Sana's sick she says she should've said yes to him.

After Hayama gets stabbed in the arm by Komori in the manga, Sana and him become closer, and Fuka decides its time to break up. Sana & Hayama officially become b/f and g/f but then Hayama has to go to America to get surgery (although its only to LA, pretty close if u ask me.) Sana gets Maniquin Disease, and starts to forget Hayama...only when they elope and he cries his feelings to her does she snap out of it...he comes back from America and they're finally together.

At the end of the manga, Hayama goes to America for 2 years for therapy on his injured arm, he comes back to Sana and they are all happy. ^_^ In the anime, what happened is, Sana and Naozumi went to America together and became "partners" while Hayama was still dating Fuka in Japan. The incident at the arcade (unlike the manga) left Fuka injured and they prevented Hayama and Fuka to date any further. In the end, Fuka realized that Hayama shouldn't be nice to her since she isn't the one he likes. In the 2nd Christmas episode Sana and Hayama are about to tell they love each other but stupid Tsuyoshi and the group interrupt them! >_< In the end of the anime, Hayama says he had something to tell Sana before her filming of Mizu no Yakata and naïve Sana goes "hmm?" so he pretends he has trash in his eye, and while she tries to clean it, he kisses her. For some reason she punches him in the face ^_^; but then  says something about not hiding her feelings anymore. In the manga, they kiss and then Sana has to see a girl who's havin problems. She tells the girl to smile. End!
